Andcosta is proud to annunce that Spot-On Lighting System has been recently awarded the 2022 Prize Designs for Modern Furniture and Lighting Award from Global Design News and The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design!
Irene Kronenberg of Baranowitz + Kronenberg has designed the Spot-On Lighting System, manufactured by Andcosta, developed for the W Hotel Amsterdam: Connect & Exchange.
The Spot-On Lighting System engages with people and space that has a soul of craft and refinement which enlighten people’s senses and brings them to light exactly where they need it.
There is more to Spot-On than meets the eye.
Each of its arms has been developed with a particular reflector: a micro-LED bulb with and anti-glare honeycomb layer that is designated to the specific task at hand.
It is fully dimmable and remotely controlled so that the end result would feel as simple and inspiring as the archive photo.
Spot-On is used not only in the guest rooms of the W Hotel Amsterdam but also took over the public areas, restaurants, bars, and furniture and became a spatial design motive for the entire hotel.
There are more than 5 kilometers of pipes running through the hotel, connecting people while paying homage to an analog world!
